Transitions in °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û HR’s Employee Relations Department
September 6, 2024
I’m writing to share some changes in °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û HR Leadership. Tara Ferguson, the Director of °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û HR Employee Relations, has decided to step away from the university after 18 years in a variety of roles. Tara has been a valued member of the °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û family, and I speak for many including myself in saying we are incredibly grateful for her dedication to °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û over the years.
Tara and I are committed to a smooth transition as we look for someone to fill the Director of Employee Relations’ role. Danielle Nelson has assumed the role of Senior Labor and Employee Relations Specialist, focusing on employee relations. Having been with the university community since 2013 and joining °×С½ãÍõÖÐÍõ¿ª½±½á¹û HR in 2020, Danielle is well-prepared for this new responsibility. All employee relations inquiries should be directed to Danielle Nelson (dnelson15@alaska.edu ), who is dedicated to collaborating with Labor Relations Director Danielle Foster.
Given that this vacancy may impact our short-term capabilities, I want to ensure transparency as we navigate this transition. We will keep you updated on the progress of the recruitment and any further developments. Thank you for your understanding and support as we move through this period of change.
Sincerely,
Mem
